La conferencia explora el mundo novel\u00edstico visual de Juan Mars\u00e9 enfoc\u00e1ndose principalmente en el cine, los c\u00f3mics, y la iconograf\u00eda cat\u00f3lica en la Barcelona de la posguerra, y a partir del desarrollo econ\u00f3mico de los a\u00f1os sesenta.\u00a0 Entre las diversas estrategias narrativas que emplea Mars\u00e9, muy conocidos son los aventis<\/em> que se contaban \u00e9l y sus amigos en la ni\u00f1ez, la memoria hist\u00f3rica y colectiva que cuestiona, y el mundo on\u00edrico de sus protagonistas. Mars\u00e9 subraya el car\u00e1cter l\u00fadico de estas estrategias: \u201cJug\u00e1bamos a contar aventis\u2026 Lo original del juego consist\u00eda en\u2026\u201d. La exploraci\u00f3n del elemento visual de la narrativa de Mars\u00e9 propone resaltar la funci\u00f3n del enga\u00f1o y del desenga\u00f1o en la cr\u00edtica social, pol\u00edtica y \u00e9tica del autor.<\/p>\n

Breve curriculum:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rosemary Clark<\/strong> hizo su grado en Filolog\u00eda francesa y espa\u00f1ola en Oxford, obtuvo un doctorado sobre Juan Mars\u00e9 en Cambridge, y public\u00f3 Iconograf\u00eda cat\u00f3lica en las novelas de Juan Mars\u00e9<\/em> en 2003. Sus \u00e1reas de especialidad en la Facultad de Espa\u00f1ol y Portugu\u00e9s de la Universidad de Cambridge fueron el Siglo de Oro, y Literatura, Historia y Cultura Peninsulares despu\u00e9s de 1850. Tambi\u00e9n colabor\u00f3 en un curso sobre Historia Contempor\u00e1nea Peninsular en la Facultad de Historia de la misma Universidad. Ahora vive jubilada en Alcal\u00e1 de Henares y, ya amante de la literatura franc\u00f3fona de \u00c1frica, se dedica hoy a la literatura de Guinea Ecuatorial y a la traducci\u00f3n literaria, sobre todo de poetas espa\u00f1oles contempor\u00e1neos.<\/p>\n
